Project Overview

Our Solution
The windows were built with a brown exterior finish and a white interior finish. Inside, the finishing was completed with a wood package to match the existing millwork in the home, helping the new windows feel natural within the original interior design.
The styles used in the home included casement windows, fixed windows, custom shapes and awning windows. Several windows also included special exterior grills to maintain the look of the house. Installation Details
NorthShield completed the installation using a full-frame, brick-to-brick method. Spray foam insulation was used around the openings for maximum energy efficiency and improved soundproofing.
The exterior of the windows was finished with matching caulking, selected to coordinate with the window colour and improve air tightness and water resistance against the elements. The installation took one day: the crew arrived at 9:00 a.m., started on the second floor, worked down to the main floor, and completed the project by 6:00 p.m. with cleanup and disposal of the old windows.
