Single hung Vs Double hung windows
Single-hung tilt windows offer a traditional appearance, sharing the same characteristics as double-hung windows. However, the only difference between the two window styles is that single-hung windows can only be opened from the bottom sash. Opposed to double-hung, where you can open both the bottom and top window sashes.
Similar to tilt-and-turn windows, single-hung windows allow you to open both vertically and horizontally. Offering excellent ventilation qualities while maintaining an abundance of natural light.

Installation Choices For Single Hung Windows
Full-Frame Replacement
Replacing your single-hung window through a full-frame replacement involves removing the entire window, including the window frame. This process is a little more extensive than a retrofit, however, it gives our installers a chance to check the area for mould or rot.
Retrofit Installation
A retrofit single-hung window replacement is an easier process, however, it is only recommended if the existing window frame is still in excellent condition. This installation method will only remove the window sash, replacing the window glass but leaving the frame intact.
