The exterior finish is white, chosen to match the rest of the house. Upstairs and on the main floor, the openings combine casement windows for ventilation with fixed panes for larger areas of glass, plus awning windows where a top-hinged sash made more sense.
Down in the basement, a few sliding windows were installed in the low openings along the foundation.
