Triple-Glass Window and Door Replacement Project in Bolton, Ontario

This project was completed in Bolton, Ontario, on a home built around 2005. The existing windows were causing several comfort issues, including noticeable drafts and moisture forming on the glass during colder weather. The homeowner wanted a stronger long-term solution that would improve efficiency, reduce maintenance, and refresh the exterior of the house.

NorthShield recommended replacing the old units with triple-glass windows and completing the work as a full-frame, brick-to-brick installation. This approach allowed the crew to remove the old frames, insulate properly around each opening, and finish the windows with a clean vinyl package inside and outside.

Approximately 25 custom windows were supplied and installed for this home. Each window was made as a most efficient, Energy Star certified product with Low-E glass and argon gas for improved thermal performance, sound control, and comfort through winter and summer.

The window package was designed for homeowners who wanted a maintenance-free result without sacrificing performance. The vinyl interior finish helps keep the inside clean and practical, while the full-frame installation improves air sealing around the openings.

The project also included a custom front door and a sliding patio door replacement. Because the original front entrance had a small 32-inch door with a narrow sidelight, NorthShield upgraded it to one larger 42-inch custom slab for a stronger, cleaner look. The new door system included a multi-point locking system for added security and a tighter seal.
